Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Dish or stand, earthenware, standing on a rounded foot-rim with an incised ring around it, gently curving spreading sides, a raised edge to the well, waved rim, twin horizontal loop handles to either side of the dish with foliate moulding to their terminals; transfer-printed in blue with to the centre of the well the 'Antwerp' pattern showing a number of boats on an expanse of water with fishermen in the foreground and a collection of buildings in the background, wide border to the rim of diaper panels enclosed within cartouches of scrolls issuing floral garlands, a running pattern of flowers and foliage to the handles.
