Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Dish, oval, soft-paste porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim curving into flared spreading sides; lobed lip with six large and six small lobes, moulded with c-scrolls and ribbon-tied flowers and foliage, groove moulded cavetto; painted with swags of flowers around the cavetto tied by puce ribbons on the edge, a flower spray and eight insects in the centre, and six sprays, twelve insects, and two caterpillars around the edge; c-scroll moulding detailed in gilt, gilt dentilled lip.
