Correspondence : From Radcliffe, Grant & Co.Ltd., Cardiff to Italian State Coal Monopoly, Cardiff with regard to documents re S.S. FLORA H., 1938

S.S. FLORA H. (2027 Grt.). Built in 1899 by Flensburger Schiffsbau Gesellschaft, Flensburg (Germany), as Jupiter for Schmidt & Hansen, Flensburg. In 1905 Heinrich Schmidt became the sole owner. In September 1920 she was handed over the UK as war reparation, but she was quickly repurchased. In 1934, she was sold to Werner Hacklin of Pori (Swedish name: Bjorneborg), Finland. In 1947 the ship was rnamed Rosa H and transferred to Swedish registry with homeport Stockholm. In 1948 her name was shortened to Rosa. In 1951, she was sold to Red. A/B Bitra (C.O. Nilsson mgr.), of Sodertalje (Sweden). She was eventually broken up at Inverkeithing in 1953 after 54 years of service.
