Plate, earthenware, tapering foot-rim, curving sides and spreading concave rim with shallow lobes to the edge; transfer-printed in red with the 'Abbey' pattern, to the centre of the well a vignette of abbey ruins with around the rim smaller vignettes of the same scene repeated in reserves enclosed by scrolls and separated by a scale-pattern ground.
