Another Dutch-built coaster owned by Lovering & Sons was the 528 gross ton Petertown, built for London owners in 1938 and bought by Loverings in 1951. Seen here in the East Bute Dock in 1956, she was sold to Italian owners in 1959, the year in which Loverings ceased trading as shipowners. M.V. PETERTOWN. Built 1938 by Scheeps van der Werf, Deest, Netherlands, for Pinch & Simpson Ltd., London, managed by Lovering & Sons Ltd., Cardiff. 1959 – Sold to G. Camali, Italy, and renamed SIRENELLA. She was broken up in Italy in 1978.
