Middle Bronze Age pottery vessel
of gritty, well-smoothed, buff-surfaced ware, with everted and tapering rim, barrel-shaped body and decoration of soft, horizontal grooves between the rim and a point just above the shoulder. There are also four pairs of dimples equally spaced around the shoulder. Restored.

Site Name: Six Wells 271', Llantwit Major
Notes: From the primary cist of Barrow 271, Six Wells. It was found in an erect position incorporated in the alignment of a wooden stake circle under the barrow. Item contained the cremated bones of an adult (40.430/2).
