Roman copper alloy stud, enamelled
Enamelled stud in the form of a rosette with three zones of decoration in three now indistinguishable colours: a central circle surrounded by two concentric rings, of which the outer is filled with eight enamel segments and encircled by eight semicircular petals of alternately light and dark colours. The rosette design is not parallelled on many enamelled studs, appearing more commonly on plate-brooches.
