Cup, tea and saucer
Teacup, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, shallow bowl with rounded curving sides and very slightly flaring lip-rim, plain loop handle; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the front of the exteiror body of the cup a landscape with a reclining figure, the landscape enclosed on three sides by a rococo border of puce scrolls, around the rest of the exterior sides of the cup and to the interior bottom of the bowl scattered sprigs of flowers and leaves, around the interior lip-rim a scalloped border in puce, a gilt edge to the lip-rim, the handle picked out in puce and gilt. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, curving sides; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a landscape with a reclining figure, the landscape enclosed on three sides by a rococo border of puce scrolls, around the sides of the well scattered sprigs of flowers and leaves, around the rim a scalloped border in puce, a gilt edge to the rim.
