Jug
Jug, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a straight-sided very slightly spreading foot-rim, globular body, high cylindrical neck, beak spout the underside of which is moulded with the mask of a bearded face, elaborate double curve loop handle, the exterior body moulded with a raised semi-stylized pattern of overlapping leaves, a band of similar stylized leaf-like moulding around the top of the neck issuing vertical incised lines which run down the length of the neck; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with to the exterior body of the jug three large spreading sprays of flowers interspersed with two butterflies, to the neck two large clusters of flowers and fruit, blue foliate designs to the handle.
