Iron Age pottery jar
Base sherd 4.5-7.5mm thick of hard fabric containingincommon small calcite inclusions.The black external surface is smoothed and highly burnished while the internal grey/brown surface is unterated. Simple flat base, sharp angle. Similar to limestone/calcite tempered jars from Llanmelin and Sudbrook (Nash-Williams 1933, 1939).
