Cylindrical mug or tankard, spreading slightly to base, ribbed S-scroll handle. The front printed in on-glaze black with Hancock's L'amour (a garden, two lovers on a bench, standing female figure behind, dog and garden roller in foreground), two butterflies printed to left, two similar butterflies to right with a cartouche between containing a shield enamelled with a spread eagle, outlined in brown on a pale green ground, crest of a wolf (?) rampant in brown and red above. Handle enamelled with black strapwork.
