Spill vase
Evans, David (painter at the Swansea China Works)
Spill-vase, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a square base, cylindrical sides with waisted lower body and flaring mouth, to either side of the body twin ornamental beak and ring handles; painted in polychrome enamels with to the exterior body sprays of naturalistic wild flowers including roses, primroses and strawberries, a gilt border to the interior lip-rim of delictely painted sprigs of flowers and foliage, gilt bands around the stand, the lower body, the shoulder and the lip-rim, the handles painted gilt.
