Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Breakfast cup, soft-paste porcelain with a white translucency; standing on straight sided foot rim, waisted above, rounded bowl flaring at lip; high c-scroll handle closed above the lip; painted with two rows of stylised cornflower sprigs around the body, and one inside the bowl, in blue, red, and green enamels; chocolate coloured band to the foot rim, chocolate lip, and chocolate leaf detail to the handle.
