Welsh Folk Museum Answer Book, 1975, received from Dr. Gwilym Pari Huws, (See MS 2119/1) containing notes and verses describing local characters in the Dolgellau area as well as local children's games (See also MS 2095/1-2). Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum in 1958 to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
