Plate, pale cream-coloured earthenware with a greeny-yellow tinge to the glaze, standing on a narrow foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, a waved and indented edge to the rim; crudely painted in black with to the well a female figure holding a staff surmounted with a hat and seated between two pillars, below the figure is an inscription in Dutch "L: Vrÿ heid", two black lines around the edge of the well, scattered stylized foliate sprays around the rim.
