Teapot and cover, black basalt stoneware, oval with scalloped rim, domed cover with pointed oval knop; moulded in relief with arched compartments separated by anthemion flowers enclosing on opposite sides sprigs of a putto driving a four-horse chariot and a classical woman and boy (Venus and Cupid?), relief-moulded strawberry leaves around the shoulder and cover, flower heads in circles around the rim.
