Cup, tea and saucer
Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Teacup and saucer of soft-paste porcelain with a creamy white translucency; cup standing on a tapered foot rim with rounded spreading sides and loop handle; saucer standing on a flat unglazed foot with rounded spreading sides; both painted with arabesques and leaves in red, green and gilt, the saucer with two gilt bands in the cavetto, the cup with gilt band around foot rim, lower body and lip rim with gilt foliate decoration to handle.
