Parasol
Parasol; canopy of black knitted lace over cream ribbed silk with scalloped, pinked edge. Inner canopy of plain white silk (also with scalloped, pinked edge). Black lace all in one piece without seams. Wooden shaft, lacquered in white, with folding mechanism covered with sliding brass cylinder; white-lacquered wooden tip. The stretchers are connected to a brass cylinder runner which is stamped with lettering reading 'TRADE MARK'. The white silk is seamed together with machine stitches. The black lace is only held at the top centre and with a few stitches at the lower end of each rib. The lace overhangs over the edge of the white fabric.
