Early Bronze Age antler pick
Antler pick made from a substantial piece of atler with the shaft at the handle end cleanly broken, and with the trez tine cut off a the join for ease of holding. The base fo the bez tine has been left projecting several cm, possibly to allow a better grip. There is extremely heavy wear at the pick end with the brow tine being alsmost entirely worn away. Antler may also have been used as a hammer.
