Jug, earthenware, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, loop handle with raised foliate moulding at the shoulder and foliate moulding radiating out around the lower terminal; the exterior of the jug and the interior neck and spout covered with a pale buff-coloured glaze, the exterior of the jug then covered with silver lustre and resist decorated, so that the buff ground beneath is revealed, with a stylized design of birds and flowering plants, around the a neck a border of vine leaves and fruit between two narrow buff bands, a wide buff band around the lower body, a pattern of buff dashes to the underside of the spout, the handle edged in buff.
