Roman samian bowl
The upper zone ahs a scroll whose lower concavities contain a seven petalled flower, two small geese and a nine pointed rosette. The lower part of the bowl has a very common scheme of decoration, a middle zone of overlapping fanshaped leaves, and a basal one of festoons and tassels, in this case simple festoons containing a spiral and rosette, and six lobed buds as tassels.
