Small, octagonal milk jug, glazed ironstone body, blue-grey in colour, transfer-printed in underglaze blue with an Imari peony and leaf pattern, overpainted in red enamels and gilded, brown lip above a diamond and quatrefoil border, serpent-form handle realistically painted in green, red, brown and black.
