Inlaid. Formal design consisting of a central quatrefoil from which spring diagonally formal linked foliage with trefoils. Cf. BM Design 2484 (Salisbury Chapter House; Clarendon Palace); also Exeter Cathedral (St James' Chapel), Winchester Cathedral (Norton 1993a), Cerne Abbey, Great Bedwin.
