Roman copper alloy flagon handle
Handle of a two handled flagon. The broken escutcheon, probably of tapering form, bears folliate decoration; from a lightly traced rib running up the centre of the handle, three diagonal grooves extend to the right and were probably mirrored also to the left. Traces of solder remain at both points of attachment. Handles of this type are common in first century contexts.
