Sauce-boat
Polygonal leaf-form sauceboat, moulded with foliage flowers and tendrils, four leaf-shaped feet, crabstock handle moulded with strawberries, painted in green and pink and decorated with floral sprays in the manner of Meissen Deutcher Blumen, purple rim line. Silver-shaped stand or dish, oval curving fluted rim, moulded shell scroll ends, similarly painted with floral sprays; brown rim. The different rim lines suggest that these may not belong together. However there are numerous sauceboats and plates, silver-shaped, in the 1755 Chelsea catalogue.
