Roman copper alloy T shaped brooch
Hinged T-shpae brooch with angular wings and a plain solid chain ring. Bow meets the head at an unusually definate angle. Below three vertical panels contain traces of enamel. It seems likely that this enamelling formed a 3 by 3 pattern of squares in two colours but too little survives to establish this with confidence. The bottom of these panels is marked by a slight ridge followed by lentoid mouldings. Remainder of bow and foot entirely plain apart from a pronounced but entirely plain terminal knob.
Pin missing. Bow badly distorted by being bent back at the middle of the panels.
