Seal impression: Personal seal
A shield couché: arms indistinct, given by Birch as, per pale, dext. ? a cross patonce between five martlets, EDWARD THE CONFESSOR; sin. quarterly, 1. and 4. FRANCE (Ancient); 2. and 3. ENGLAND; over all a label of eight points; sin. A bend cotised between six lioncels passant bendwise, BOHUN. Crest: on a helmet and short mantling, on a chapeau a lion statant guardant, crowned, the tail extending downwards. Supporters: two ostrich feathers, with a label around them, inscribed: Souerey_ne. Field replenished with sprigs of broom (planta genista) for Plantagenet. Border of inner edge carved with cinquefoils.
