Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim curving into slightly cushion moulded and straight spreading sides; lobed lip moulded with c-scrolls and ribbon-tied flowers and foliage, groove moulded cavetto; painted in the centre with a large spray of deeply coloured flowers, and six sprays around the edge, including blue and pink convolvulus, daffodil, tulips, poppy, pink roses, and bluebells, and two insects; blue and gilt notched line to the cavetto, gilt dentilled lip.
