Greatcoat of thick grey woollen material. Worn by James Boyle of Cardiff as a part-time member of the National Hospital Service Reserve, 1955.
Single-breasted, with five button fastening. Self fabric epaulettes, with matching buttons. Two pockets at hips, with flaps. Belt buttoned at back of waist. Buttoned vent. Embroidered shield-shaped badge on sleeve, surmounted by the Queen's crown and inscription 'National Hospital Service Reserve'.
