Medieval pottery jug
Jug or pitcher with applied moulded heads round the rim, their eyes formed by ring-and-dot impressions; body decorated with applied diagonal bands of darker clay with circular 'seals' at the angle. Grey fabric fired reddish-brown inside; dark green glaze with brown patches and streaks. Wheelmarks. Period 6
