Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Plate, earthenware, inward-slanting foot-rim, circular shape with curving sides, slightly raised edge around the well, spreading rim; transfer-printed in puce with the 'Lady and Gallant' pattern, a male figure leads a female figure towards a nearby boat against an Italianate landscape of ornate buildings, trees and an expanse of water with boats, a narrow border to the rim of scrolls issuing fleur-de-lys shapes interspersed with patterns of dots.
