Girl's fancy dress wings
Pair of fairy wings. Part of fancy dress outfit worn by Margaret May Lucretia Lewis of Crumlin, about 1909-10.
Outline frame of cotton covered metal, with plain weave gauze of cotton and metal thread stitched to framework. Decoration of fine metal braid, sequins and beads stitched to gauze. Central section stiffened with gauze and roughly stitched to wings.
