Coles and Haynes, Cambrian Pottery (1790 - 1802)
Tea-caddy, cream-coloured earthenware, green-tinged glaze, fine crackle, press-moulded in two sections, rectangular, the base moulded, curved shoulders with a similar moulding, above six acanthus leaves on the long sides only, straight cylindrical neck, no cover; printed in underglaze blue with floral sprays, comprising a rose and buds on one long side, a rose and carnation on the other, a rose and a rose on convolvulus on the short sides, and a leaf and a carnation on the shoulders, the neck with a border of octagonal cell diaper, ball and dot above, beaded swags below.
