Iron Age chariot (model)
Based on the interpretation of finds from the Iron Age site of Llyn Cerrig Bach, Anglesey, by Sir Cyril Fox in 1946. (A new model was subsequently made in 1977 on the basis of a re-interpretation of the finds). The original finds upon which this model was based were: (i) Wheel tire; iron, complete with numerous fragments, (ii) Nave-hoops; bronze and iron, (iii) Inner rings of nave-hoops, iron, (iv) Yoke terminals; hollow bronze castings, (v) Linch pins; looped iron, (vi) Terrets; bronze castings, (vii) Front portion of draught pole; wood, re-inforced with oval iron plates.
