Plate, pearlware, circular shape with flat base, curving sides and spreading rim, the rim moulded with a basketwork border surmounted by a band of oval perforations, a shaped edge to the rim; transfer-printed in blue with to the well a pastoral scene showing in the foreground a seated female figure, a kneeling male figure and a dog with scattered baskets around them, with beyond scattered sheep and further small figures, in the background a cottage, a windmill, trees and distant mountains, the perforations to the rim edged in blue.
