Tankard
Tankard, red-brown stoneware, with rich brown glaze, tapering sides, loop handle links two prominent hoops moulded with crescents, trefoils and lappets, scale moulded band between the hoops enamelled in blue, red and white between yellow and blue ribs, traces of gilding on scale band and red and white border; pewter mounts comprising a shallow lipped foot, and a flattened domed cover embossed with foliage, hinge and bead thumbpeice.
