Tureen stand
Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Tureen stand, earthenware, round-ended oblong shape with straight-sided foot-rim and curving spreading sides, a raised ridge around the centre of the well, the rim lobed and moulded with several raised bands around it, to either end of the stand the rim extends into twin solid horizontal handles moulded with foliate scrolls; transfer-printed in blue with to the centre of the well a large spray of flowers and foliage, several smaller sprays of flowers and foliage scattered around the sides of the well, dentil border to the rim of small circles and diamond shapes issuing small flowers.
