Olive Talbot, glass negative
Collodion glass negative. Olive Emma Talbot (1842-1894) sat on the lap of Miss Wright, possibly in the conservatory at Penllergare. Olive was the daughter of industrialist and politician Christopher Rice Mansel Talbot and his wife Lady Charlotte Butler of Margam Castle. In 1872, in her private diaries, novelist Amy Dillwyn referred to Olive as her wife.
