Walker, Ewart Lincoln (Ewart Lincoln Walker was born in St Thomas, Jamaica in 1954. He came to the UK aged 14 in 1968 to live with his father who was already living in Cardiff. He worked first at Tubal Cain in Cardiff, and then spent 22 years in the Merchant Navy from about 1977 until retiring in 1999. He was the first black officer to be employed by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Limited in 1981.)
