Figure largely white and black with gilt detailing in clerical dress, wearing over glaze black shoes, white trousers, underglaze black cassock, white surplice, white neck tie, highly coloured face with very red cheeks, black hair. Standing with head slightly thrown back, with arms crossed across body and holding an ovaerglaze black book placed on a bulbous pedestal ringed with gilt at bottom and at top.
