Mug, buff coloured earthenware, rounded foot-rim, barrel-shaped body and plain loop handle; covered all over with a slightly pink-tinged white tin-glaze which has worn off around the foot-rim and lip-rim, decorated in blue in a Chinese-style woth around the exterior body groups of trees and rocks, to the front the inscription "I R / 1668" enclosed in a small blue quatrefoil, a band of stylized foliage around the handle. The lip-rim chipped.
