ANVERS (7023gt) : Built 1941 as EMPIRE MASEFIELD by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd., Newcastle-upon-Tyne. 1942 – Allocated to the Belgian Government, and renamed BELGIAN SEAMAN. 1946 – Sold to Armement Deppe SA, Belgium, and renamed ANVERS. 1952 – Sold to Compagnie Belge d’Expansion Maritimes, and renamed CIERVAUX. 1960 – Sold to M.Angelos Ltd., London, and renamed MIHALIS ANGELOS. 1963 – Sold to Maradelanto Compagnia Navigazione, but managed by M. Angelos Ltd. (same name). 1965 – Sold to Celestial Shipping Corporation SA, Panama, and renamed GLORIA, managed by Gloria Shipping Ltd., Hong Kong. She was broken up at Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1967.
