Dish, dessert
Square dessert dish, soft-paste porcelain, 'duck egg' type with a greenish translucency, lustrous glaze with a slight green tinge, irredescent around the enamels. Standing on a shallow foot rim, moulded in eight large and eight small lobes, painted in the centre with a pink Chinese peony (paeonia) amid grasses and meadow vetchling (lathyrus pratensis), decorated below the rim with a continuous band of hatched and shaded gilding, comprising fluted vases with conical covers alternating with arabesques, floriate scrolls and florets between two gilt lines. Two pad marks by foot rim.
