Tea-caddy
Tea-caddy, tin-plate, oblong-octagonal form with straight sides and hinged domed lid, a key hole to the front of the caddy and a brass moveable strirrup-shaped handle to the top of the lid, the interior of the caddy divided into two compartments; the exterior of the caddy covered with a reddish tortoiseshell japan and decorated with around the upper and lower body, the sides and top of the cover and key hole borders of lines and meander patterns in silver to which the varnish has given a golden tinge.
