Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Centre dish, boat-shaped, irregular lobed rim, extended shell moulded handles (slightly distorted) and narrow foot rim, the centre painted with an arrangement of flowers and fruit including three pink roses, convulvulus, speedwell, cornflowers, two white roses, white currants, grapes, peaches and a pineapple; apple-green ground rim with plain gilt outer border and waved inner border reserved with four polychrome bands of flowers within foliate cartouches flanked by floral sprays in raised gilding, the exterior of the rim similarly decorated, and the underside within the foot lightly gilded.
