Roman samian bowl
The central moulding is bordered by fairly large beads, and the upper zone is decorated with a divergent scroll with spiral tendrils, spurred leaves and corded buds. The design is well paralleled at Colchester but the tendrils are lacking. Knorr 1952, Taf. 8, 1 OF BASSI COELI does have the tendrils, though the bud is a different one.
