Cup and saucer
Cup and saucer, soft-paste porcelain; cup standing on rounded foot rim, London shape, flaring slightly at lip, with a thick, curvaceous ogee handle; saucer standing on a rounded foot rim with slightly curved spreading sides; painted with set pattern 258, - a wide border in iron red with four black out-lined scalloped reserves, two with a purple snake crossing a green circle, below trailing red flowers , and two with two purple bands crossing a green circle, with red flowers and green leaves on either side; reserves alternating with black and gilt, arabesque and floral motifs; narrow border above with red cross-hatching and black cloud or rock shapes; border of red petals along a wavy gilt line below, and a red and gilt daisy medallion in the centre; gilt lip, gilt handle, and gilt band to foot rim.
