Teapot and cover
Teapot, greyish hybrid-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, bulbous upper body tapering inwards towards the base, short cylindrical lip-rim, curving spout with the top modelled in the form of a dogs head and with foliate moulding around the base, high loop handle with moulding at the terminals, round slightly domed cover with to the centre a finial modelled in the form of a flower head which has now mostly broken off, a pierced steam hole to one side; finely painted in polychrome enamels with around the exterior body of the teapot and the top of the cover roses and leaf sprigs in purple and green, a heavy blue band with gilt edges around the shoulder of the teapot, the modelled head on the spout painted in reds, the spout and handle picked out in gilt, a gilt rim to the cover, the finial painted in red and green.
