Early Bronze Age flat axe
Of large decorated type with a thin, arched butt and a splayed blade. Thickened to a slight transverse ridge towards the middle and with the edges slightly hammered towards the middle. There are traces of decoration on one of the faces, consisting of short, parallel punched lines. There is also evidence of blade sharpening which has removed the patina.
