Candlestick
Candlestick, earthenware, standing on a spreading base composed of eight convex panels with a lobed foot-rim, a raised ridge where the shaft meets the base, the lower part of the shaft bulbous, the upper part tapers inwards, bell-shaped sconce with flaring everted lobed rim, the shaft, sconce and rim also composed of eight convex panels, the candlestick moulded all over with a raised tendril-like seaweed pattern; the raised tendrils overpainted in blue. The base, shaft and sconce all cracked and chipped.
